Elena Garcia ARCWP and Frank Fuchs, Co-Presiders at Home Liturgy

Note from Elena Garcia ARCWP about Home Liturgy
We had our first home church liturgy at 4:00 pm  Wednesday, November 7,2018. there were seven in attendance, the one missing is the photographer. Ie songs were as follows: "We are marching in the Light of God”;  "We are many parts”; “Peace-Instrumental”; “Let Your light shine on us”. Two of those songs were accompanied with maracas and tambourines.  The shared homily addressed Pope Francis’ call to holiness in Gaudate et Exsultate.   All agreed to meet again  on Tuesday, December 11,2018 at 2:00 pm.

Home Church Welcome

I wish to extend a warm welcome to all who have joined us for our first gathering at our home in celebration and praise to our loving God.
Let me begin with a brief explanation of who we are and how we preside at liturgy in a slightly different manner than perhaps you are accustomed.

We are an inclusive catholic community where all are welcomed. Our liturgical style is highly inclusive and our language of prayer uses both the male and female metaphors for God. You are invited to participate in the ordinary of the liturgy and in the eucharistic prayer and consecration.
We invite sharing at the homily and prayers of intercession. Everyone prays the words of consecration in the eucharistic prayer. You may notice the word VOICE in various parts of the liturgy. Anyone person who wishes to read that part please feel free to do so.  We are not assigned parts.
We use non-alcoholic wine so all may receive if you wish. You will notice that presiders eat last.
We begin in November—the month for all saints, all souls, thanksgiving and elections. Thus the theme of Mystical oneness and awareness of our need for justice, peace, and equality as we give thanks for all our blessings. We give thanks also for all those who are among us as well as those who have transitioned and are examples of how to be true disciples of Jesus the Christ.

After the meal Jesus took a cup filled with wine and share it with those present saying, “Take this all of you and drink. This is the cup of my life-blood.
