Janice Sevre-Duszynska's Diary: Day 1: The Gathering Meal
Today I was invited to an enjoyable lunch with Erin Hanna and
Kate McElwee and her husband Josh at a lovely restaurant at Piazza Rivore along
the Tiber. It was a pleasant day with the sun shining and a gentle wind. The
seagulls continued their playful revelry in the dancing waters.
When I returned to the hostel, Anna Baranowska of Poland arrived. When she was settled, I showed her around the premises. Then we walked through Trastevere, one of my favorite
Places. Paintings from an art fair and vendors selling their wares permeated throughout the winding vias. What caught my eye were the Spring flower crowns similar to the one I bought at Polish Fest in Milwaukee. We met up with Christina at the restaurant where we recalled the 8 years of Latae Sententiae as well as the joy of Miriam's birthday. What a blessing to share our experiences carrying on as sisters transforming our church!
