The Beautiful Heart in a Circle of Wounded Healers, Bridget Mary Meehan ARCWP

Today, I shared chicken nuggets with a group of homeless women and men sitting in a circle on the grass outside McDonalds, As they ate, I was touched by their companionship with each other  their beautiful hearts, and the challenges they faced on the path to housing and health. 

As Sibyl Dana Reynolds wrote in her inspirational book, The Way of Belle Coeur.

".. the beautiful heart is yours to behold...there is wisdom to be discovered in the most unlikely places. When you begin your quest, you will find the Beloved on the path awaiting you, to show you the Mysteries and to help you to remember what you have forgotten...you are worthy of love, healing and the miraculous.,,Love, beauty and prayer will become the text for the new story for humankind."

Today, I found the Beautiful Heart in a circle of wounded healers, who have much to teach me about caring for those in need in my neighborhood.
