Roman Catholic Women Priests Are Open to Pope Francis ' Invitation for "Positive Engagement In Discussion" by Bridget Mary Meehan, ARCWP

Abigail Eltzroth' ARCWP Ordination on April 20, 2017 in Asheville, NC

Pope Francis has warned that "creativity and positive engagement in discussion" are the only way the world can face the "serious problems and challenges afflicting our time."

I agree and look forward to a creative and positive discussion with Pope Francis on gender justice and equality in the church.

Our international Roman Catholic Women Priests Movement has contacted Pope Francis and asked for an open conversation on women priests in May 2016.Although Pope Francis has not responded yet to our request, he  has begun a dialogue on women deacons. This positive engagement could lead to women priests and the full equality of women in the church. The experience of our international movement is reflected in  Gandhi's quote: "First they ignore you, then they make fun of you, then the fight with you, then you win.
