Rev. Paul Werner on right in black: Installation Service as Pastor of St. Andrew UCC, Oct 22, 2017 From Left to right: Nancy Goethe, Bob Langlais, Rev Leslie Etheredge, Rev. Paul Werner |
I am honored to represent Mary of Mother of Jesus Inclusive Catholic Community as I share this blessing with you today, Rev. Paul.
So
that we in St. Andrew UCC and Mary Mother of Jesus Inclusive Catholic Community
may grow in deep oneness as we celebrate our sacred diversity in mutual respect
and openness in the Heart of God.
May
God bless you with the anger of a prophet
At
injustice, oppression, and exploitation of people,
So that you may proclaim the good news of the Gospel and walk with us as a companion on the journey in our work for justice, equality and peace.
May
God bless you with the tears of Jesus, the Compassionate One to shed for those
who suffer pain, rejection, hunger and war,
So that you may inspire your sisters and brothers at St. Andrew UCC and Mary Mother of Jesus Inclusive Catholic Community to serve them in their distress and to change their pain into joy.
May God
bless you with enough foolishness
To believe that you and all of us, united in love, one in heart and mind in Christ, can make a difference in this world,
To believe that you and all of us, united in love, one in heart and mind in Christ, can make a difference in this world,
So
that together we can do what others claim cannot be done,
To bring justice and kindness to our sisters and brothers in this Sarasota community and beyond. Amen.
To bring justice and kindness to our sisters and brothers in this Sarasota community and beyond. Amen.
