"Power in Love", Watch Royal Wedding Sermon by Bishop Michael Curry

My favorite line “when love is the way, we treat each other well- like we are family.”

Bishop Michael Curry gave homily at royal wedding

"Raised in Buffalo, a graduate of Hutchinson Technical Central High School, presiding Bishop Michael Curry of the Episcopal Church delivered a passionate sermon at Saturday's royal wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
His presence provided an authentic American voice and sensibility at the ceremonial nerve center of a monarchy. Curry quoted Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who spoke of the "redemptive power of love," how it could "make of this old world a new world." He called on his listeners to recall the first time they fell in love, the way that feeling seems to reshape the world around you, the sheer force of that emotion.
Curry contended that while the love of the royal couple themselves was enough to pack St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle - "two young people fell in love and we all showed up" - it was only one specific and powerful example of how the larger notion of love throughout humanity could change "the very life of the world itself," how it could turn the entire world into a sanctuary. That kind of love, Curry said, is enough to bring peace, to change lives, to create "a new human family."
"Imagine this tired old world," Curry said, "when love is the way.""
