In this article the question raised is:What's the greatest threat to the Roman Catholic Church today – a schism? Or the rise in power of fundamentalist clericalists?
My response: I agree that fundamentalist clericalists are a great challenge. The good news is that women priests are a prophetic movement that offers fresh hope in moving the Roman Catholic Church toward a discipleship of equals in grassroots communities of Catholics who are ready for a new beginning.
