The angel said to the women "do not be afraid for I know you are looking for Jesus , who was crucified, come to the place where they laid him. Now go at once to tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead. Mt. 28-5-6
Amidst the darkness of torture, murder, genocide and evil in our world, angels of light are speaking to us every day.
Since Russia invaded Ukraine, journalists have been sharing stories that graphically display the horrors of war. Their interviews with Ukrainian women, men and children ,who have fled their homes and lost loved ones, but hope to return to their homeland, inspire us. Their stories of suffering and loss have touched the hearts of millions of people throughout the world. This has led to a global effort to provide homes, food and medical supplies for refugees, and those in harm's way in Ukraine.
Angels of light are speaking to us not only in Ukraine, but in our own lives today. No matter where we are, or how hopeless our situation appears, there are angels of light to guide us on our journey out of darkness to new life.
Like the women at the tomb, we can encounter the spirit of the Risen One healing our hearts and loving us beyond our fears and tears. We can hear the call to arise and share the good news that Christ has risen and accompanies us as we work together to ease the sufferings of those in need. Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!
Happy Easter!
