Twenty years ago today, seven courageous Catholic women, known as the Danube Seven, were ordained priests on June 29, 2002. They broke with two millennia of Catholic tradition prohibiting women priests and started a global movement.
We offer this video tribute to all in the international Roman Catholic Women Priests Movement who are living a new model of priestly ministry in inclusive Catholic communities and ministries
to make gender equality and justice a reality now.We are grateful to Katie Nimcheski, accompanied by her Dad, Ted for a beautiful rendition of "I Hear a Call" written by Tony Arata.
