Hildegard Pilgrimage with Deacon Shanon Sterringer, ARCWP - Day 2 -Part 2- July 29, 2019
On day two of our pilgrimage, following a full morning at St. Rochus Church and the Hildegard Forum, we relaxed a bit on a Rhine River Castle Tour. We saw many beautiful structures from Hildegard's time and even earlier. The root of the word Rhine is of Celtic origin and it mean to flow. This pilgrimage is definitely a grace-filled opportunity to make space in our hearts and minds for God's creative spirit to flow! We are staying on the corner of the Rhine and Nahe where St. Hildegard built her monastery at mount St. Rupert. Today we will be driving along the Nahe River to the ruins at mount St. Disibod where Hildegard spent over half of her life. The Rhine River also flows into the Danube River. On Thursday we will be taking a train along the Rhine into Austria to celebrate the sacrament of ordination near the banks of the Danube.
