PORTLAND, Ore. — It's been three years since Toni Tortorilla was ordained in the Roman Catholic Womenpriests movement, and the Vatican's decision to label both pedophilia and women's ordination as grave offenses, she says, is an insult to clerical abuse victims and women seeking ordination.
"The sexual abuse of children is morally reprehensible by any possible standard," Tortorilla, 63 said. "The ordination of women has been happening for decades in many denominations."
Pairing the issues in one statement "shows how out of touch with reality the Vatican really is," said Tortorilla, who serves the Sophia Christi Catholic Community in Portland and Eugene, Ore., where between 30 and 40 people attend monthly services.

You know, I wonder if it is really the Vatican that is out of touch. I think it is more accurate to say the Women's Ordination group is out of touch with the Vatican.
Apologist --
If that is true, why is the Vatican paying so much attention? You'd think they would just ignore the women. The movement is growing because of publicity and because of the response from the Vatican.
Now that's just great Ravensbarque, you told the WORLD the secret of those free press ops when the big powerful people are all upset by the little women who have been called by The Lord to serve as Priests !
The rest of the World is laughing at the Vatican except for when all the cover ups on abuse/child abuse/marriage abuse and lets not for get money scandals. They want accountability.
Not a new committee to "Re-Evangilize " the western world into the desired "Step Ford Wives" - gosh I hope I spelled that correctly. I barley remember the movie ...bUT I REMEMBER the MOLD !
Can't wait till Jesus gets here and asks "what's up with all these Vatican Cannon rule things - I called EACH ONE OF YOU - I love you ALL !"
