A warm welcome to Pat and Bob and to everyone who has come to celebrate their commitment to each other in holy matrimony.
Pat and Bob, we are here today to support you with our loving prayers as you pledge your love for one another. Scripture tells us when we live in love, we live in God and God lives in us. In human love, the Source of all love, is made visible each day.
Pat and Bob, you bring to this wedding ceremony your shared dreams that love can always be new and fresh, like a summer breeze; that love can grow and grow, like the seed that is transformed into the tallest of trees; that love is forever striving for new heights and depths of intimacy, like the human hearts who seek love's fullness again and again.
