When the Church teaches that she has no authority to confer ordination upon women, she is not placing "limits" on God, rather God is placing limits on the Church.
The Church can only do what God gives her the authority to do. If God wants women to be priests, then God would have bestowed authority upon the Church to ordain them.

You fail to understand that it is a group of misogynistic men who are attempting to interpret what God has and has not given them the authority to do. They are speaking from their own bias and not from some divine revelation.

No, he's saying that male-bashing excommunicated laywomen are the best authority on God's word.
I haven't met any of the women priests who are male bashers. I don't think any are excommunicated. I do, however, think that many of them are better (and more educated) theologians than some of the d&d priests. (Oh, d&d = dumb and docile.)

That is the thing- you can believe what you want. The Church says they are excommunicated and that is all that matters.
These women may indeed be more "educated" then many priests. They are certainly more "educated" then I am. So what?
At one time the majority of the "educated" scientists claimed that the Sun goes revolves around the Earth, not visa- versa.
You fail to understand that for me as a Catholic what matters so much is not WHAT is said, but WHO is saying it. When the CHURCH says something, I listen, becasue of WHO is saying it. It is not SCHOLARSHIP that matters to me, but AUTHORITY. Scholarship might be fun when it comes to debating, but in the end it is not SCHOLARSHIP which settles an issue, it is the AUTHORITY of the Church.
In the end Bridget Mary might (I don't know becasue I have not read any publications of hers beyond this blog) argue intelligently and scholarly for the issues she believes in- but by what AUTHORITY does she argue for those positions? In short, Bridget Mary speaks for herself, she does not speak for the Church, and therefore lacks credibility on these matters.
