Ash Wednesday/ New Inclusive Lenten Liturgy/ Penitential Rite

PENITENTIAL RITE
Presider:  As we pray, fast, and give alms, may we experience a new openness to Gospel compassion and justice, Jesus have mercy.
ALL:  Jesus, have mercy.
Presider: Jesus located divine authority in our human hearts, for the times we have failed to trust our experiences of God in our everyday life and in our world, Christ have mercy.
ALL:  Christ have mercy.
Presider: For the times we have failed to challenge religious and political authorities to do justice and live compassion for all, Jesus have mercy.
ALL:  Jesus, have mercy.

Presider Let us pause now for reflection.  Place your hand over your heart and breathe in God’s boundless love and forgiveness for you and for all those whom you are called to love and forgive.
(Extend hands and recite prayer of General Absolution)
ALL:  God, the Father-Mother of mercies through the death and resurrection of Jesus / has reconciled the world and sent the Holy Spirit among us for the forgiveness of sins / through the ministry of the Church may God give us pardon and peace / and we absolve you from your sins in the name of God / the Father-Mother, and of Jesus, the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.  Amen.

Maybe I'll start a "What If We Just Said Wait" petition to protest your new translations. I'm happy with my Mass the way it is, thank you very much. I don't need the feminarchy to oppress us male laypersons.

Unlike the so-called revised translation, these liturgies do not claim to be tranlsations. Also, unlike the arbitrarily imposed translation, these are options available. There is no feminarchy here, but perhaps a misogynist.

Can I sign the petition?
