Mary Mother of Jesus Inclusive Catholic Community Members Demonstrate to End Death Penalty and Pray at DeathWatch Vigil for Jose Jimenez who is scheduled to be executed tonight in Florida

Henrietta, Russ, Lee, Bridget Mary from MMOJ Community demonstrate to end death penalty and pray for Jose Jimenez, his family, victim, all attending execution, Gov. Scott, and for justice for all especially those unjustly in prison.

On Thursday at midnight Jose Jimenez is scheduled to be executed in Florida. Lee Breyer,  a priest, holding blue sign : "execute justice, not people" visited Jose yesterday for over 3 hours. Lee has been ministering to Jose on a regular basis for 18 years since 2002. Lee is one of Jose's two spiritual advisors. He and his wife Carol Ann, now deceased, started their visitation on death row in 2000.

I called Gov. Scott's office to share our opposition to the death penalty and our support for clemency for Jose Jimenez.  Bridget Mary Meehan ARCWP, https://marymotherofjesus.org

At the vigil Mary Al, Russ and Henrietta and I held signs in front of St. Andrew's Church in Sarasota. A photo journalist stopped to take a photo and to ask questions about the reasons we were demonstrating. At 6:00PM we conducted the deathwatch vigil prayers for Jose and his family, all crime victims, Gov. Scott and for the end of the death penalty.
