Today, on March 25th, we celebrate the Feast of Mary's Annunciation. Catholics echo Mary's Yes to birth Christ anew through their support of a renewed model of priestly ministry.
Roman Catholic Women Priests have been creating a church for everyone since the historic ordination of seven courageous women on the Danube in 2002. In our inclusive Catholic communities around the world, all are welcome to receive and celebrate sacraments.
I pray that Pope Francis recovers from his recent illness and engages in a conversation with women priests about our inclusive ministries.
His words “todus, todus” will become a reality when they apply to all who follow their consciences and disobey Church teachings, including women priests!
If Pope Francis removes all punishments, including excommunication, against women priests, this step would implement a vision of a Synodal Church that promotes the full equality of the baptized. Now this courageous action would be truly worth celebrating in a Jubilee Year!
