The Association of Roman Catholic Women Priests (ARCWP) agrees with Pope Francis who said: "Women have much to tell us in today's society. At times we men are too 'machista'..." However, we say, that until women are affirmed as priests, gender equality will not be a reality in the Catholic Church. The hierarchy, including Pope Francis, cannot continue to discriminate against women and blame Jesus for it. Women priests are now serving in grassroots communities that are inclusive and welcoming to all, including those alienated and marginalized in our Church today.
