Thanksgiving weekend is a special time for the Women's Ordination Conference, an anniversary we celebrate as the launch of our now forty-three year strong organization.
The work of the Holy Spirit moved through all those who organized and attended that first conference, and continues to carry our mission forward today. WOC continues to be the largest and most visible voice for women's ordination in the Roman Catholic Church.
We hold our her-story and all those who have celebrated, worked, and broken bread around the WOC table as among our greatest blessings. We stand on your shoulders and offer our deepest gratitude for all of your ministries, and the ministries of all WOC members throughout our forty-three years.
Thank you for being the movement -- the Church -- that challenges, celebrates and prays for radical inclusion and equality for all. Happy anniversary, WOC!
