From New Orleans: Witness for Women's Ordination

God held back the rain again this year! This morning was a moment of hope and joy as we prayed for inclusion and justice in our church. Several priests (and the former archbishop) smiled and waved at us from the processional of priests that enter the Cathedral before the ordination. As always, many tourists and others stopped to chat, take photos and voice their support. One couple from California stopped to tell us that they worship at a community where Dr. Juanita Cordero presides as Catholic priest and ask us if we know Roy Bourgeois. Sr. Lilianne reminded us, "Change is already here!"
Thanks to all who came and all who were with us in spirit.
