Dear Bridget, It is a really disgraceful when women feel the need to prove the church false by presenting so called evidence of a an era in time where they have no written proof of what their saying. Firstly Our Lord choose His apostles and they were all men. Secondly the church is the bride of Christ and liken to the marital union, the bride needs a groom. The priest who stands in the person of Christ is just that, the groom to the bride. This by no means takes from the dignity or love of Christ that women can share with Him it just states that God has created us for different roles and that neither of the opposite gender can fulfill a role that does not belong to them. It is truly misleading and wrong when we present false evidence as if it were fact in order to promote something against what the Church teaches so that we can promote a very diabolical agenda.
