Nuns on the Bus Are Back! Please join us on this amazing journey to demonstrate the adverse effect of the tax legislation, Sister Simone Campbell, SSS

I'm thrilled to share our exciting news with you: NETWORK's Nuns on the Bus is going on the road again in 2018! Can you help fill our gas tank?

Last year we didn't do a bus trip because we had to stay here in Washington, D.C. to advocate against ongoing threats to the common good. Our community worked tirelessly to protect healthcare for 30 million people, and we railed against President Trump and Congress's harmful immigration policies. But one of the biggest battles we engaged in had a disappointing result: Congress passed one of the most regressive tax bills in the history of our nation.

I have to say, it was an extremely difficult fight to lose, but we have to keep telling the truth about the impact of this tax legislation: it is an existential threat to our nation. So, this fall Nuns on the Bus is hitting the road again… and we’re headed to the pinnacle of income inequality. Nuns on the Bus 2018… on the road to Mar-A-Lago!
We’ll be visiting Members of Congress to hold them accountable for their votes – for healthcare and tax legislation – and demand they change course for the common good.
James T, I invite you to join us on this journey with a gift of $25, $75, $100, or whatever you can today to help us fill the tank and start the engine on our trip in October.

Congress blatantly undermined our nation’s future when they voted to increase our national deficit by three trillion dollars in order to pay for handouts to big corporations and the wealthiest in our nation. At the same time, Congress keeps restricting access to vital life-saving programs like Medicaid, low cost housing, and food programs for people who need it most.
We need to change this painful truth. James T, your support of $25, $75, $100 or whatever you canwill engage thousands of people across the country and equip activists to make the change to this tax legislation our country needs.

Together, we'll amplify the voices of people all across the country about the adverse effect of the tax legislation, and bring their stories to their legislators and to the President at his Mar-a-Lago resort. Please join us on this amazing journey.

What can I say, I think the Holy Spirit is still alive and well and making mischief… this is going to be fun! Please join us in this mischief making.
In gratitude,
Sister Simone Campbell, SSS
Executive Director
