Father Anthony Ruff, OSB to U.S. bishops, in which he explains his reasons for withdrawing from a speaking tour to introduce the new missal translation across the country. He had served as chairman of the music committee of the International Commission on English in the Liturgy (ICEL), the group at the center of the English translation process until the Vatican rejected its work and imposed its own version.

Year old fluff. The new Missal has been a success.

Good for Fr. Ruff for speaking out against the travesty occurring in the institutional Catholic Church. The New Mass translation is almost laughable...if it weren't such a sad reflection on how the hierarchy of the church continues to make itself irrelevant in today's world. Hopefully Fr. Ruff, the RCWP, and concerned others will help reclaim the vision of our Loving God from a Church presently in decay.
The new missal is no success.
