Judy Beaumont RCWP died peacefully today surrounded by her partner Judy Lee, her sister Jill Bergner, and her favorite kitty cats in her home. This photo was taken in the hospital at an earlier time.

Yesterday Judy Lee called to share this beautiful time of prayer in a circle around Judy Beaumont.
The people who gathered were from Judy B.’s and Judy L.’s  faith community as well as Jill Bergen, Judy B's sister,  from Chicago.
Pearle, and her daughter Efe, a medical student, whom Judy B and Judy L watched growing up and who was a youth minister in their community were in the circle of prayer, lifting Judy B. up.
The sang songs from their African tradition and "Precious Lord, take my hand and lead me home.”
Pearle recited prayers in the Ghanian language.
Marina Teresa Sanchez, RCWP led the  rosary in Spanish and English.
The scripture they read was suggested by Jill and Judy L.
( 2 Tim 4: 6-9, 22) I fought the good fight…I finished the race."
They  played inspirational hymns sung by Daniel O’Donnell on CD including “Softly and Tenderly.”
and “Be not Afraid” and they all sang the verse: “come follow me and I will give you rest. “
The name of a spiritual chant that they played is "Te Deum" from the Benedictine Sisters  of Erie from PA. . ( Judy B. was a Benedictine Sister.)

Dear Judy B., may you dance with the angels and celebrate the fullness of Divine Love, in whose presence you now dwell.
We will hold you in our hearts forever and know you will keep us in your prayers.
Your life of loving and giving especially to the least and the last among us will inspire us.
Thank you for the great blessing you have been as a companion, friend and priest on the journey to justice and equality in the Roman Catholic Women Priests Movement.
Your legacy of giving will live forever!
