We invite you to cover our upcoming ordination of 82-year old Sue Guzik who will be ordained a priest. She has 55 years of experience in parish ministry! Three others will be ordained deacons. This is the first time that Bishop Mary Eileen Collingwood, a native of Cleveland, will be ordaining in Cleveland. She has ordained in other cities. 
Our movement for equality and justice for women in the RC Church is growing. We now have about 300 in our women priest communities.

Susan Guzik, 82, (440-477-5962msguzik@aol.com, will be ordained a priest. She was ordained a deacon four years ago and said "It's time now for me to become what I'm called to." Sue received her diocesan certification as a lay ecclesial minister in the Diocese of Cleveland in 1993. She was active in parish ministry for 55 years and was one of the first woman lectors in her parish, St. Mary Magdalen Parish of Willowick, Ohio. She became involved in Stephen Ministry as a team member and became director for several years. Sue was married for 53 years to Matthew Guzik who passed away six years ago, in 2012. They had five children. nine grandchildren, and two step-great grandchildren. She was ordained a deacon on May 24, 2014.

 Her ordaining bishop is Mary Eileen Collingwood,(216-408-4657mecreg6@yahoo.com, a lifelong resident of Cleveland. Mary was ordained a priest at St. Bridget's in Brecksville on May 24, 2014. The following year on Sept. 24, 2015 she was ordained a bishop in (Wallingford) Philadelphia, PA.
This is the first time that Cleveland native Bishop Mary Eileen will be ordaining priests and deacons in Cleveland. (She has ordained elsewhere in the U.S.).

Mary Eileen Collingwood, serving the Association of Roman Catholic Women Priests as bishop, is a wife, mother, grandmother, and educator, who earned her MA in Theology from St. Mary Seminary and Graduate School of Theology in Wycliffe, OH. She has taught on the secondary and college levels, served as a Pastoral Minister in parishes and as director of the diocesan Pro Life Office. She currently is a faculty member for Global Ministries University and The People's Catholic Seminary. Mary   is co-presider at St. Bridget Inclusive Catholic Community in Brecksville, Ohio.
