INTERFAITH WORSHIP AND COMMUNION AT CASTLE OTTTIS
Sunday, November 25, 10:00 AM
SEE INFORMATION ABOVE.

Dear Faith Community,

We finally had a little fall weather.  Temperatures below 89 at high noon!  What a delight.  This does not help those recovering from all the natural disasters all across our land and the world.  Please do whatever you can to help those recovering.

We were so happy to be back in Titusville!  The people are so loving and grateful.  It is nice to see people at mass who want to be there!  Not just out of obligation.  I don't know if I told you that the mass at Titusville started about 20 years ago when a married priest was approached at the RV events and asked to have mass for those who were divorced and remarried They truly missed communion.  So, the services started and continue weekly.   Over the years there were three married priests there who shared the responsibility of ministering to the people.  Right now one of those priests is having to step back and Miriam and I are trying to help the community.  Another of the priests may have to step back soon due to age and difficulty getting about.  Please pray that God will send more priests to help the community.  We are not sure how long we can continue the three hour round trip to help them.

Titusville now has not only Catholics, but also Episcopalians, Lutherans, Baptists and others.  Truly ecumenical as Jesus called us to pray.  They have open communion.  All are welcome to the table.  Jesus never intended starting a religion, but it happened mostly because of politics.  But now the Spirit is calling us all to unite in love and stop all the divisiveness.

There is too much hate in the world and I am sure Jesus must be weeping for us.  People cannot even discuss their differences.  They just shout each other down and insist they are right and the other is wrong.  I recall reading in a Carlos Carretto book that "Love must transcend all truth."  At the time I did not understand the full significance of the challenge but I have come to use this as a personal motto or mantra.  I believe that no matter how much of the TRUTH I have, you will not hear my truth if I don't love you with what I believe is your UNTRUTH.  We all need to love each other with our various understandings of the TRUTH.  Only when we love each other just as we all are, will we be able to love as Jesus and many others have called us to love.  Only unconditional love will bring us all together.  What a difficult challenge!  But it can be done.

Soon we will have elections.  Let us each sit and pray and ask our loving God which candidates are the best to help the people of our country as well as help others to obtain the basic necessities of life which surely must start with love and peace.  Wisdom for all of us.

We continue to lift you and your families and friends in prayer.  Please remember us in your prayers - especially if you live too far away to join us.

Love and peace to you all!

Wanda
