As ARCWP Association of Roman Catholic Presbyters, Pax Christi-Medellin, we have joined thousands of people (25,000 participants, in a non-violent active march) convened by various NGOs such as Oxfam, Missereor, Pax Christi-International, Bread for the World , Green Peace, Adveniat, International Friends of the Earth and many more.
We have united in solidarity, to demand concrete actions against global warming, protesting calling for an end to the use of coal as fuel.
The demonstrators marched from the center of Bonn, to the outskirts of the place where the COP23 will be held, on the banks of the Rhine.
The motto: "Yes to Climate Justice! Not the coal. "
The participation of youth and thousands of elderly people from different countries and social and human rights groups was impressive.
